Training Guide-line . No-Contact Formation

The main necessity in this flight is to be able to arrive very QUICK to the appropriate slot (both for Front and Back flyers) and to fly CONSTANTLY, PRECISELY, and perfectly STILL at the right distance for the entirety of the flight (including the break-off)!

The navigator must set a base that is STILL with CONSTANT speed and angle for all of the flight.

Regarding the training, we advise training at different speeds and different angles (in different flights), to improve the precision under different parameters. The complete Atmonaut is able to fly with the same perfect precision, at every speed and angle!

The most important thing in this formation, is to take more references to the flyers around you. Therefore, apart from the reference with the closest person, the following references are very important:

- CROSSING diagonal reference : FR1 with BL1 , FR2 with BL2 , FR3 with BL3 etc.

- FACING reference : FR1 with BR1 , FR2 with BR2 etc.   and  FL1 with BL1 , FL2 with BL2 etc.

- SIDE reference : FR1 with FL1 , FR2 with FL2 etc   and BR1 with BL1 , BR2 with BL2 etc.

If the closest person is not exactly set up or is moving, don’t take reference on them but instead take reference on the next person in the correct position. So for example if FL2 is not correctly placed , FL3 will reference with FL1 ( using also the previously mentioned points : Crossing – Facing – Side )

As we can see from the side view , another reference to take into consideration, is the visual of the alignment of the heads when everybody is in the correct position. See the alignment of the heads in the pictures :

It is also very important to use the correct distance : 2m vertically and horizontally , and 2,8m diagonally.

To achieve this we also advise some training on the ground. Design on the floor a 2m square grid (as in the sketch) and position yourself on the intersection. .

Take a reference of 2m distance with respect to the closest person . The other reference to take into consideration, is the visual of the alignment of the heads when everybody is in the correct position, as we can see from the side view. Please pay specific attention to the head alignment.

If the closest person is not exactly set up or is moving, don’t take reference on them but instead on the next person in the correct position. Use the correct distance of 2m training on the 2m square floor grid.

Again, the most important thing in this formation, is to take more references to the flyers around you. Therefore, apart from the reference with the closest person, the following points are very important :

- FACING reference

- SIDE reference
